Nearly 2 decades of ministry experience focusing on teaching, administration and small group guidance, my passion is to serve the Body of Christ and see the life-giving power of spirit-led healing and transformation through the simplicity and power of the Gospel combined with hospitality and effectual practices developed by some of the most learned Christian counselors in the world.
Ministry is a whole-life, all-in mindset driven by the Spirit and honed by the desire to "study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth."
The VA's Whole Health Program has done incredible pioneering work in the area of developing a "what matters to you" principle in providing assistance to veterans. As a Whole Health Ambassador I gleaned insights through performing assessment and guiding of individuals and small groups to understanding health from this paradigm, which greatly enhanced my understanding of the practical development of developing others through a servant-leader relationship.
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve..." (Mark 10.45a)
Serving 11 years and two deployments as a Soldier made me a grounded team player, a capable administrator, and... a welder. The Army introduced me to the real life understanding that our God is a consuming fire... (that's a welding joke... or artillery, but that's another chuckle for another day).
Over 15 years experience. Oh, it matters! How you play is how you work. There really are some great skills that get put to use!
